Sid the Alien takes a break from teaching math, to teach your child how to have fun while learning sight words in "Sight Words: Alien Action!" It is widely known that Dolch sight words are instrumental for students to learn when they learn how to read. Included in the game are 5 sight word sets: pre-k, k, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and nouns totaling over 300 Sight Words! The game uses recorded phrases to have your child identify the correct word being spoken, all while playing an interactive game. "Can you help me find the word apple?" [Touch the word "apple" on the screen.] "Awesome!" Your child gets instant feedback as they touch a word with points earned. The game then automatically advances to the next word after 10 successful selections of the word. If the word is incorrect, an on-screen explosion occurs and they lose a turn.
There are other fun aspects to the game like a ufo that flies around and when selected speeds up the movement of the words on the screen.
